This story began with an idea about creating beautiful floors durable enough to handle the real challenges of everyday life and still look great after years of use. To be even more practical, manufacturer also made them extremely easy to install and maintain. Part of the world’s largest flooring company Since 2013, the Pergo brand is owned by Mohawk Industries, Inc., the world’s largest flooring company with operations in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Pergo products are produced by the flooring division of Unilin BV, based in Belgium. The quality part is certified according to ISO 9001 and the environmental part ISO 14001.
Pergo’s origins begin at the world-renowned Perstorp AB in Sweden, which began manufacturing high quality decorative laminate in the early 1950’s. A pivotal acquisition in 1974 became the start of what would soon develop into a never before seen category in the flooring industry - Laminate flooring.
